Raymond Fuegen, age 92, of Spragueville, Iowa passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa, Iowa. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Preston, Iowa. Father Don Plamondon will be Celebrant. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Preston, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous, PO Box 418 - Monticello IA 52310-0418
in Raymond's memory. Raymond was born on April 1, 1914, the son of Charles and Regina (Fredrick) Fuegen in Spragueville, Iowa. He attended rural Spragueville schools. Raymond was devoted to his faith, and very dedicated to his church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over fifty years.
Raymond was a farmer growing grain and raising livestock in Spragueville for most of his life. He loved and was known for his excavating skill with a bull dozer.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvin Fuegen; and one sister, Marie Fuegen.
