Ralph “Bud” Huss, age 95, of Chadwick, Illinois, formerly Rawson, Ohio of passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Resthave Home in Morrison. Burial of cremated remains will take place Elm Grove in Finlay, Ohio. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840 or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Bud was born January 5, 1923, in Rawson, Ohio, the son of Elmer and Lucy (Cuttaback) Huss. He graduated from Rawson High School in 1941. The day after High School, Bud enlisted in the United States Navy and Honorably served as a Shipfitter First, for four years serving during WII. On December 25, 1944, Bud married Sara King. They celebrated 53 years of marriage until Sara’s passing in 1998.
Bud was a boiler operator at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, where he retired. Bud farmed for many years in Rawson as a share farmer. Bud and Sara retired to Sebring, Florida where they enjoyed their fishing.
Bud will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Barbara Welch of Chadwick, Illinois and Rebecca (Wayne) King of Whitehouse, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, 12, great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Bud is preceded in death by his wife Sara, one grandchild, and one great grandchild.
