Rachel Lynn Speers

Rachel Lynn Speers, age 29, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Lyons, Illinois and Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna with Pastor Floyd West Officiating. Burial will take place in Savanna. Visitation will be held from 11:00a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Funeral Home, prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Rachel’s name.
Rachel was born December 22, 1980 in Morrison, Illinois. She attended grade school at Ideal School in LaGrange, Illinois and then attended the Morton West High School in Berwyn, Illinois. Rachel worked as a waitress, last working at the Cheesecake Factory Restaurant in Chicago. Rachel enjoyed spending time with her daughter, and going out with friends.
She will be dearly missed and survived by her daughter, Kaylee Guzeldere of Skokie, Illinois; her father, Gene (Diane) Speers of Savanna, Illinois; her mother, Gale (Stephan) Hall of Inman, South Carolina; two sisters, Sarah (Christopher) Lopez; and Lori Golesteanu both of Clinton, Iowa; her brother, Matthew Speers of Savanna, Illinois; her paternal grandmother, Mariann Meader of Lanark, Illinois; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rachel is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, David and Mildred Long; and her paternal grandfather, Dale Meader.
