Perry Scot Schneider, age 46, of Savanna, Illinois, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Freeport Rehab and Health Care Center, Freeport, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Banquet Hall at 436 North Main Ave., Milledgeville, Illinois. Burial will follow in the Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 9 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, prior to the service at the Banquet Hall at 436 North Main Ave, Milledgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Scot was born February 5, 1964, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Ralph M. and Phyllis (Spickler) Schneider. He graduated from Shannon High School with the Class of 1982
Scot was a police officer in Savanna for twelve years. He then owned and operated the Main Avenue Tap in Milledgeville, Illinois, for eleven years. Scot was an avid bowler and loved going to stockcar races, especially in Talladega, Alabama. He had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing for family and friends anytime he could.
Scot is survived by his wife, Robin Schneider of Mount Carroll, Illinois; one son, Dru Schneider of Mount Carroll; one daughter, Kelbi Schneider of Mount Carroll; one brother, Philip (Lee Ann) Schneider of Sterling, Illinois; and three sisters, Paula (Hoyt) Garzia of Hillsboro, Missouri, Penny (Oscar) Wells of Lena, Illinois, and Cindy Dillfurth of Texas.
Scot was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Schneider.
