Penny Ann Landwer, age 69 of Elizabeth, Illinois, died on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her home. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Penny was born on April 5, 1940, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Sakoski) Pawlowski in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Chicago area schools. Penny married Robin Landwer on December 9, 1967 in Elgin, Illinois. Robin passed away on March 12, 1998.
Penny was employed for several years by Coil Electric, Elizabeth and the Eaton Corporation, Hanover, Illinois. When Robin retired in June of 1997, so did Penny. Penny and Robin spent a lot of time together dancing and taking fishing trips to Mercer, Wisconsin. She loved taking care of her family and was an excellent cook, she was known for her Italian Beef. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, quilting, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Most of all Penny cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Penny will be dearly missed by two sons, Wesley (Deirdre) Landwer of Dixon, Illinois and Jody (Melody) Landwer of Elizabeth; two daughters, Kim (Rolf) Radke of Elizabeth and Karen (Dean) Hull of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Rolf, Jr., Mattie, Christopher, Kristin, Cameron, Ashleigh, Sarah, Cody, and Dylan; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Brianna; step-mother, Virginia Pawlowski of New Port Richey, Florida; and three brothers, Al (Vera) Pawlowski of Lake Villa, Illinois, Wayne (Donna) Pawlowski of McHenry, Illinois, and Paul Pawlowski of Trevor, Wisconsin.
Penny is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robin.
