Pearl J. Jenks

Pearl J. Jenks, age 82, of Savanna, Illinois, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Mercy North Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa. Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be a private family graveside at a later date. Interment of her cremated remains will be in the Upper York Cemetery in Argo Fay, Illinois.

Pearl was born on May 17, 1925 in Thomson, Illinois, the daughter of Earl C. and Anna F. (Gerhardt) Holman Sr. She attended Thomson High School and later attended and graduated from Beautician School. She married Delbert Lyle Jenks on October 25, 1948 in Thomson, Illinois.

Pearl was a Beautician in Hinsdale, Illinois. She owned and operated a Beauty Salon out of her home from 1942 – 2003. She was a member of the Community Church in Savanna. Pearl was an animal lover, who loved spending time with her family. She was the happiest when she was doing something with or for someone else.

Pearl will be dearly missed by one son, Robert E. (Sharon) Jenks of Lombard, Illinois; one grandson, Bradley Jenks St. Ores of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Arlie Arno of Savanna and one brother, Lester Holman of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lloyd Holman and twin brother, Earl Holman; two sisters, Gladys Thomson and Bernice Sours; one daughter, Rondi St. Ores.
