Patsy Louise Miller

March 11, 1941 — August 20, 2024

Patsy Louise Miller, age 83, of Savanna, IL, passed away August 20, 2024, at her home with her son by her side. A private memorial will be had and interment will take place at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL.

Patsy was born March 11, 1941 in Hayti, MO, the daughter of Henry and Alberta (Resch) Jackson. She spent her childhood in Hayti before her family moved to Genoa, IL during her high school years, where she graduated from Genoa-Kingston High School with the class of 1959.

Patsy went to work for Automatic Electric for a few years, and soon married Ralph Howe. Together they had two sons. She then started her career with Falls Products, in Genoa, working for them for many years.

She later married David P. Miller, with whom she had another son; setting up residence in Kirkland, IL. She worked for Inlaid Woodcraft in Sycamore for a time, before moving to Mt. Carroll in 1993. Now retired, Patsy kept herself busy working for Timber Lake Campground for the next decade.

Patsy enjoyed her simple pleasures in life, collecting birdhouses and cookie jars, and watching Hallmark movies. She adored her family, and loved playing Bingo and Yahtzee! When she was younger, she always liked camping, and her love for music remained with her throughout her life. She became a big fan of a regional performer called The Mississippi Man, following him to concerts throughout the Midwest.

Patsy will be dearly missed by her three sons, Timothy (Sven Soderberg) Howe, of Chicago, IL, Thomas (Angela) Howe, of Kingston, and David W. Miller, of Savanna; two grandchildren, Kaila and Nate Howe; and great-grandchild, Brodie Karns. Patsy is preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Brown and her grandmother, Maggie Draper.
