Patsy Jean Kuhnert had a strong spirit, was a devoted Wife and Mother, and loved a good prank. Patsy passed into heaven Sunday, November 24, 2013 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, Illinois after a short illness. She and her husband, Kenneth, have enjoyed living near Mt. Carroll the past eighteen years and were previously of Metropolis, Illinois.

Patsy attended Murray State university, then graduated from the Nursing program at Shawnee Community College. After Patsy accomplished becoming an independent single mother, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Kuhnert, They were united in marriage October 1, 1982 in Metropolis. Carroll United Methodist Church, and as a caregiver with Heartland Home Healthcare in Whiteside and Carroll counties. She also served on the Chadwick Public Library Board as a trustee, was a member of the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, and the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church.
