Patricia was born September 21, 1940, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of William and Loretta (Steines) Schultz. She attended school in Clinton, graduating from Sacred Heart High School with the class of 1957. On September 5, 1959, Patsy married Emmett Peters. After a career as a homemaker and mother, she worked for National Lock, in the East Central Schools as a cafeteria cook, and for Oxford Speaker factory.
“Patsy” was a generous woman who lovingly cared for her family. She loved crafts - she crocheted, knitted and crafted for many years. She also loved gardening and caring for her chocolate labs. She held an affinity for sunflowers, hummingbirds, and chickens. In fact, her room at Fieldstone was decorated “to the 9’s” with sunflowers and chickens – placed in EXACTLY the right spots, or else Patsy would correct you and have you move them! She will be dearly missed by many.
Patricia is survived by her children, Don Peters, Sid (Shelby) Peters, and Brad (Pam) Peters; grandchildren, Bridget Peters, Shauna (Eric) Ryan, Danielle (Jon) Dubel, Maya (Austin Paul) Peters, Jordan (Natalie) Peters, Hannah (Nathan) Winesburg, Michael Peters, Cady Peters; great grandchildren, Ruthie Ryan, Rory Dubel, Nolan Dubel, Sydney Dubel, Matthew Peters, and Marley Peters; siblings, Randy (Hazel) Schultz, Mary (Mike) Grinnall, and Wayne Schultz. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, William and Loretta; husband, Emmett Peters; son, George Peters; siblings, Robert (Butch) Schultz, Donald Schultz, David Schultz, Diana Tobin, Sharon Henfrey, and Brenda Schultz.
