On February 13, 2025, the world lost a remarkable woman, Pamela Goss, who passed away at 70 in Savanna, Illinois. Born in Rockford, Illinois, on March 4, 1954, Pamela lived her life rooted in a deep Christian faith and an enduring love for her family. A memorial gathering will be planned in the future.
Her 50-year marriage to Robert Goss was filled with abiding love and unwavering devotion. Pamela's greatness as a wife, mother, sister, and friend extended beyond her immediate family to include those fortunate enough to have been touched by her kindness and strength. As Angela’s caregiver for 46 years, Pamela showed a level of dedication and love that was inspirational to all around her.
Despite being deeply religious, Pamela chose a personal path, independent of religious groups but not of her beliefs. This independence defined her life; she navigated her world with determination, seeking help only when it was absolutely necessary—a testament to her self-reliant nature.
Predeceased by her parents, Emma and Howard Breeding, and her son Timothy Goss, Pamela leaves behind her loving husband, Robert; her cherished children, Angela and Travis (Heather); grandson, Victor; and her sisters, Peggy Gunsolus, Penny Robles, and Polly Anderson. Her family is a living testament to her legacy—a legacy that celebrated the bonds of love, faith, and community.
In moments of reflection, we turn to the comforting words of John 14:1-3: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?"
Pamela Goss leaves behind a legacy of altruism and faithfulness. Her memory remains in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
