Pamela "Pam" Gallacher

Pamela “Pam” Gallacher, age 58, of Savanna, Illinois, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in Pam’s memory.
Pam was born on August 1, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Carol (Walker) Smajda. She attended Chicago Schools. She married Daniel Gallacher, Jr. on January 27, 1973 in Chicago. They later moved to Savanna in 1991. Daniel died on June 19, 2009.
Pam worked as a Laundry Aide for Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna for 10 years. She enjoyed doing needlepoint on plastic canvas and playing Facebook games. Mostly, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Pam will be dearly missed by her four children, Daniel (Fiancée Sherry Hood) Gallacher, Scott (Denise Irvine Carr) Gallacher, Tina Gallacher, and John Gallacher all of Savanna; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Thomas Jr., Billie Jean, Carolann, Joe, Sheyenne, Cody; two sisters, Patricia (Patrick) Duffing of Lake Station, Indiana, Sharon Stoddard of Chicago. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her parents, John and Carol, and one brother, Michael.
