Ora M. Andresen

Ora M. Andresen, 95, of Chadwick, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Chadwick. Pastor Robert Phelps of Pleasant Valley Church of God in rural Mt. Carroll and Pastor Josh Jensen of the Evangelical Free Church of Chadwick will officiate. Burial will be in the Chadwick Cemetery. A visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick. Memorials may be given to the family in Ora’s memory. Ora was born March 2, 1911 in "Polsgrove" Mt. Carroll, Illinois, the daughter of John and Ada (Toepfer) Zink. On August 2, 1931, Ora married Nicolay Carl Andresen in Mt. Carroll. Reverend Andresen passed away January 30, 1980. Ora was a member of the Chadwick Evangelical Free Church in Chadwick. She was active with the Church Womens group and always willing to lend a hand.Ora enjoyed gardening flowers, crocheting and most of all having coffee with her friends. Ora will be deeply missed by her son, Robert (Barbara) Andresen of Muscatine, Iowa; two daughters, Eileen (Robert) Diestelmeier of Freeport, Illinois and Jean Oberholzer of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.Ora was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Andresen; two brothers and four grandchildren
