Neva K. Haag

Neva K. Haag, age 99, of Chadwick, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the Morrison Hospital. Funeral services will held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Law Jones Funeral Home in Chadwick, Illinois. Reverend Marcia Strahl will officiate. Burial will be in Chadwick Cemetery, Chadwick. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 25th at the Law Jones Funeral Home in Chadwick, Illinois. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chadwick or Mercy Hospice, Clinton, Iowa.
Neva was born July 27, 1907 in Chadwick, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary (Queckboerner) Traum. On January 7, 1933, Neva married Carl Haag in Chadwick. Carl passed away on August 4, 1966.
Neva attended Chadwick High School. Neva was a lifelong member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chadwick. Neva was a volunteer at the Savanna Thrift Shop, she was also a member of the Carroll County Council on Aging and she enjoyed needle work, sewing and baking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Neva will be dearly missed by her two sons, Leo (Nancy) Haag of Chadwick, Illinois and Evan (Marcia) of Morrison; Illinois; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband; one son Allen; one stepson Orville Haag; one sister Alice Traum; and three brothers Denver, Robert and Alvin.
