Nellie Jane Larson, age 95, of Fulton, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, died Friday, August 20, 2010, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton. A private family gathering will be held at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.
Nellie was born December 8, 1915, the daughter of Albert & Mary Elizabeth (Young) Landgon in Merrill, Wisconsin. As a young girl, Nellie sang in a local band.
Nellie enjoyed being a homemaker, reading romance novels, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was a thirty-year member of the Brillion American Legion Post# 126. She resided in Brillion, Wisconsin until 1991, when her husband Adolph passed away, she then came to live with niece & nephew, Rose & Leroy Marshall in Thomson. In 2005, Nellie moved into Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton.
Nellie is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, three brothers, Martin, Leonard and John, four sisters, Anna Ruth Tobias, Cora Tobias, Jessie Fost and Clara Landgon.
