Natalie "Nan" B. Law, age 96, of Cincinnati, Ohio, previously of Savanna, died Monday, November 9, 2009 at home. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church, Savanna. Pastor Michael Wey will officiate. Burial will be in the Savanna Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Nan was born June 25, 1913 in Savanna, the daughter of George and Martha (Philips) Brown. She is a graduate of the Savanna High School and also attended Francis Shimer College, Mt. Carroll. Nan married Rhene Law on June 8, 1933. Rhene passed away in 1958.Nan began her career in funeral service when she married Rhene. She continued that career with her son, Si, and also with the Law-Jones family, as she spent 70 years of her life as a funeral professional. Nan enjoyed her life caring for others. After retirement in 2002 she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to live with family. Nan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Savanna, PEO, Study Club and Bridge Club. She loved art, classic music, and collecting miniatures.Nan will be dearly missed by her daughter-in-law Gretchen Law, her grandchildren Heather Law, Douglas Law, Rhene Russell Law, Elizabeth Howell, Rhene Andrew Howell, Ann Howell, and her great grandchildren Rachel Law, Rhene Law, Wyatt Law, Rhene Hunter Lemperle, Natalie Walls and Brent Walls.Nan is preceded in death by her husband, Rhene; her son, Si; her daughter, Martha “Mimi”, and her sisters, Mercedes, Jessie “Jay” and Evelyn “Tuttie.”
