Nancy L. Spahr went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. Nancy was born March 20, 1937 to Emery and Bertha (Richards) Preston. Nancy went to Mt. Carroll high school and she married James R. Spahr May 28, 1956. They had four children Tom, Tim, Tammy and Tina.
After the passing of her husband in 1996 she moved from their home in Mt. Carroll to Hillsdale IL where she lived until it was too much for her to handle and she then moved to Claremore Ok and stayed with Tom and his family for 5 years she then moved in with Tina where she remained till her passing.
Nancy loved her family and enjoyed being with them. While health issues seemed to blur this she spoke of the family often. She is survived by her children: Tom (Dawn)Spahr, Claremore, OK, Tim (Sharon) Spahr Galesville, WI, Tammy (Randy) Zeeryp, Grand Mound, IA and Tina Yenney, Lincoln, IL. She enjoyed her grandchildren as well: Jon (Melissa)Spahr, Darryl (Cristine)Spahr, Lynn Spahr all of Claremore OK, Christina Graves of WI, Nathan(Christine) Spahr, of WI, Daniel (Ashley) Zeeryp, of Dewitt, IA and Michael Zeeryp, also of Dewitt, IA, Darla (Noah)Gibson, of Latham IL and Destiny (Kyle)Litke-Butts, of Council Grove, KS. She had many great grandchildren some she didn’t get to meet but enjoyed receiving pictures of them. She also had one great granddaughter
Nancy shared many memories throughout her days and all these memories will be forever cherished.
Nancy iss preceded in death by her Husband James, his parents Warner and Gladys (Hanna)Spahr, her parents Emery and Bertha (Richards)Preston, Brothers: Maynard, Richard, Robert and Gene, sisters: Wanita, Eugenia and Mary Jane, and a Nephew Ronald Preston.
Services are pending. A memorial service will be in Latham, Illinois, at the Latham Baptist Church. There will be a Private graveside service at a later date, as well.
