Nancy Ann Frondle, age 68, of Clinton, IA, passed away Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at her home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Law Jones Funeral Home, in Preston, IA at 11am. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am before the service. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, in Sabula, IA. Family and friends are invited to share in Nancy’s life at lawjonesfuneralhome.com. Nancy was born June 18, 1954 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of David and Mary (McCloy) Frondle. She attended school in Sabula, IA, ultimately graduating from Sabula High School with the class of 1972. She would later continue her education by enrolling in cake decorating school. During her high school years, Nancy worked at her parents’ restaurant, Stateline Café. After high school, she worked for A.C. Nielsen for a few years, before taking on the role of homemaker and mother while her daughter was young. She then went back to work, serving as a Home Health Provider for Clinton County Home, and a dental assistant for Dr. Alt, of Clinton. For the last 25 years, Nancy worked for HyVee, in a number of positions.
Nancy was a lover of history, taking a keen interest in her family’s genealogy. She participated in Civil War period reenactments as a member of the 17th Tennessee Company K and the 23rd Tennessee Company A, and was also an active member of the Early American Crafters living history village of Heritage Canyon, in Fulton, IL, since 1994. She was a woman of many talents, including sewing, cross stitch, needlework, knitting, open hearth cooking in the classic Dutch oven/ cast iron style, and of course, cake decorating. She adorned many cakes for her family over the years!
Nancy will be dearly missed by her daughter, Shanna Frondle, of Neenah, WI; sisters Pam Frondle, Patricia (Logan) Cram, Mary (Loren) Snyder, Teresa Frondle, and Connie (Juan) Hernandez-Garcia; brother, Dennis Frondle; brother-in-law, Conrado Francisco; sister-in-law Lorena Frondle; and aunt, Shirley McCLoy. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary; brother, Frank Frondle; and niece, Tosha Holt.
