Mildred G. Bundy

Mildred G. Bundy, age 86, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Freeport Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Illinois. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Church of God, Mt. Carroll. Pastor Rick Zickefoose of the Church of God, Mt. Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, rural Mt. Carroll. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Church of God in Mount Carroll. Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place. Memphis, TN 38105 in Mildred’s name.
Mildred was born July 4, 1919 in Galena, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Camilla (Graham) Kuchemann. She married Max W. Bundy on August 2, 1943, in Amityville, New York. Max died on July 15, 2005 in Freeport, Illinois.
Mildred worked for the Savanna Army Depot as a Clerk Stenographer for more than 20 years. She was a longtime member of the Church of God in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Mildred graduated from Galena High School, class of 1937 and later graduated from Bayliss Business College in Dubuque, Iowa. She enjoyed crosswords, baking knitting and sewing. In her younger years, Mildred loved to dance the Foxtrot with her husband, Max.
Mildred will be dearly missed by her one son, Duglas Bundy of Kenai, Alaska; one daughter, Muriel (Karl) Rafferty of Mount Carroll, Illinois; one sister, Marion Gerlich of Galena, Illinois; and six grandchildren
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Max and two brothers, Robert and Gerald.
