Michael Alexander Toth

Michael Alexander Toth, "Mike", age 52, of Rock Falls was born June 28, 1969, in Streator, IL and went to his heavenly home on January 17, 2022. A public visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Law Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, Illinois with a private family funeral service at 11:30 a.m.
He was the son of Alexander Toth and Sharon (Williams) Colehour and stepfather Ted Colehour. He grew up in Lanark and attended school there until moving to Mount Carroll where he completed his junior and senior years graduating in 1988.
Mike worked at Colehour Elevator in Mount Carroll during his junior and senior high school years and for a year after graduating. He then moved to the Chicago area where he worked repairing computers and was promoted to various management positions. When the company closed, he attended a heavy equipment and truck driving school in Sun Prairie, WI. After becoming certified, he moved to Syracuse, Kansas and worked at The Hub driving semi and attending to natural gas and oil wells. He later moved to Rock Falls to be closer to family and friends.
Mike was a Christian with a big heart and was there to help people who needed it. He loved animals, especially dogs and cats and always had pets.
Mike will be dearly missed by his father Alex Toth and special friend Karen Kijowski of Freeport; mother Sharon Colehour and stepfather Ted Colehour of Mount Carroll; brother Randy (Helen) Toth of Chandler, Arizona; stepbrothers Todd Colehour of Brookline, Massachusetts and Jay (Patty) Colehour of Chandler, Arizona; special friends Ture and Conni Person of Rock Falls; the Kijowski family of Sycamore; one
nephew, three nieces, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his stepsister Amy Colehour.
Memorial gifts may be given to Happy Tails Animal Shelter in Rock Falls. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
