Michael E. Scott, age 71, of Savanna, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family service will be held.
Michael was born January 26, 1946, in Crittenden County, Kentucky, the son of Marion and Mary (Coker) Scott. He attended St. Charles School. Michael worked as a carpenter/framer until retirement. He enjoyed fishing and playing Wii games.
Michael will be dearly missed by four children, Darrel Scott of Florida, Debbie Scott of Florida, Andy (Kathy) Holcomb of Glasgow, Kentucky, Jimmy (Holly) Holcomb of Georgia; seven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Beatrice) Scott of Keokuk, Iowa; and one sister, Frances “Sissy” (Don Woolcott) Ensey of Savanna. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mary Scott; and three brothers, Ollie, John and Charles Scott.
