Michael Rogers, age 49, of Terre Haute, Indiana, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna, Illinois with Father Moises Apostol as Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, prior to the Mass. Inurnment will take place at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna. Michael was born August 19, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Edward and Alice (Garner) Rogers. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad as a Carman for many years. He was currently working at Swopes Museum, Terre Haute, Indiana. Michael loved writing and recently published his first book in 2004, “A Midevil Tale.†Michael will be dearly missed by his parents, Edward and Alice Rogers of Savanna, Illinois; three brothers, David (Barbara) Rogers of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tom (Marlana) Rogers of Simi Valley, California and Steven Rogers of Parker, Colorado; two sisters, Kathleen (Floyd) Wehr of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Amy Rogers of Redwood City, California; his Godmother and Aunt, Jane Rogers of Savanna; two nephews; and four nieces.
