Michael Keith Medley

Michael Keith Medley II, age 38, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa. Mike was proud of his sobriety, had a great sense of humor, was caring, and was blessed with a big heart and a desire to help others.

He was born April 13, 1988, in Huntsville, Alabama, the son of Michael Medley and Sebrina (Clifton) Farrow. He earned an associate degree and worked as a medical assistant. His caring nature also led him to serve as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Hazel Green, Alabama, Volunteer Fire Department.

Mike and Emily Mitchell met at work in 2010 and were married July 19, 2014, in Huntsville, sharing twelve years of marriage. They moved to Savanna in 2022.

Mike enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and competing in archery competitions. He loved spending time outdoors, and on their 12th anniversary, he and Emily spent the day on the Mississippi River.

Faith and fellowship held an important place in Mike’s life. He participated in a men’s group at First United Methodist Church in Savanna and had a heart for God and for helping others.

Mike will be dearly missed by his wife, Emily Medley of Savanna; his father, Michael (Maria) Medley of Scottsboro, Alabama; his mother, Sebrina (Gerald) Farrow of Huntsville, Alabama; his maternal grandparents, Joyce (Ron) Massingill of Horton, Alabama, and Billy (Terri) Clifton of Guntersville, Alabama; his brother, Seth (Breanna) Farrow of Madison, Alabama; his sister, Holly (Austin) Beatty of Fyffe, Alabama; two nieces; and his father- and mother-in-law, Maurice and Tammy Mitchell of Poplar Grove, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Medley, and his maternal great-grandmother, Lily Ruth Nickelson.

A private service and visitation for family will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville, Alabama. A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Savanna, Illinois and a later date will be announced soon.
