Mary Ann Unangst

Mary Ann Unangst, age 70 of Freeport, Illinois, previously of Hanover, Illinois, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, Illinois.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover, Illinois. Reverend Lynne Matthews of the Hanover United Mthodist Church
will officiate. Memorials may be given in Mary's name to your favorite charity.
Mary Ann was born, October 3, 1935, the daughter of Frank S. and Evelyn C. (Walsh) Jagielski in Savanna, Illinois. She attended Hanover High School, graduating with the Class of 1953. On April 28, 1956, Mary Ann married Clifford Unangst. Clifford passed away October 7, 1986.
Mary Ann enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children, she worked eight years for the Hanover Public Library. In 1989 she moved to Freeport to live with family and work for the Freeport School District. Mary Ann enjoyed reading, traveling, and watching sports on television. Most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary Ann will be dearly missed by her daughter Cindy (Russ) Townsend of Freeport; a son, Mark (Mary J.) Unangst of St. Louis, Missouri; Four grandchildren, Mark and Tracey Townsend and Samantha and Julia Unangst; a sister, Joan Hunt of Hanover; brother in law, Keith (Peggy) Unangst of Dubuque, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her parents; one brother, Robert Jagielski; and a brother in-law, Don Hunt.
