Mary Jane Lundy, age 68, of Savanna, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at her home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon -2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery, Savanna. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in Mary’s memory.
Mary was born on December 29, 1940, the daughter of George and Lucille (Kallemeyn) Dirks in Black Hawk County, Iowa. She attended Savanna schools and married Edwin H. Lundy on June 5, 1965 in Hanover, Illinois. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of their home. She was a member of the Savanna Women’s V.F.W. Auxiliary and enjoyed listening to church services on the radio. Mary also enjoyed reading the Bible, watching television and listening to country music.
Mary will be dearly missed by her brother, Paul (Louise) Kallemeyn of Savanna; one sister, Etta Leese of Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
