Mary Chadwick

Mary I. Chadwick, age 79, of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at her home. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna with Father Dennis Atto as Celebrant. Burial will take place in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Savanna. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com .
Mary was born on June 5, 1930, in Arlington, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Sarah (Ackerman) Richmond. Mary married Earl E. Chadwick on December 27, 1947. Earl died on August 27, 2004. Mary was proud to receive her General Education Degree at the age of seventy-four. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna and worked for the Tri-County Opportunities Council. Most of all Mary enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary will be dearly missed by her five sons; Jack (Diane) Chadwick of Savanna, Kenneth (Sharon) Chadwick of Texas, James (Joy) Chadwick of New Mexico, David (Cecelia) Chadwick of California and Bill (Sharon) Chadwick of Savanna; five daughters, Ruth (Dick) McColley of Missouri, Vivian Chadwick of Savanna, Janice (Ronald) Deyo of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, Mary Ann (Dave) Williams of Pekin, Illinois and Joyce Marken of Mt. Carroll; a special friend, Fred Dexheimer; thirty-four grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; a son, Thomas Chadwick; two grandsons, Thor Karlberg and Richard McColley; and four great-grandchildren, Seth McColley, Trevor McColley, Courtney Gerloff and Alexis Grace Scriven.
