Marvin Bohnsack, age 84, of Elizabeth, Illinois, passed away, Friday, November 25, 2005 at Galena Stauss Hospital in Galena, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Elizabeth, Illinois. Father Christopher Kuhn of the Church of St. Mary’s in Elizabeth will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover, Illinois. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2005 at the Funeral Home. A memorial is being established in Marvin’s name.
Marvin was born February 8, 1921 the son of Herman & Minnie (Teppert) Bohnsack in Scales Mound, Illinois. He attended Scales Mound Country Schools. On April 19, 1945, Marvin married Audrey Meyer in Hanover, Illinois.
Marvin farmed grain and livestock most of his life, even after retirement he loved the daily chores on the farm, such as weed whipping.
Marvin will be deeply missed by his wife, Audrey of Elizabeth; a daughter, Karen (David) Glasgow of Bolingbrook, Illinois; three sons, Terry (Mary) Bohnsack of LaGrange, Illinois, Tim (Cindy) Bohnsack of Lena, Illinois and Mark (Debbie) Bohnsack of Elizabeth, Illinois; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters in-law, Elmeda Bohnsack of Elizabeth and Dorothy Bowman of Tampa, Florida.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Verneil Townsend; a brother, Kenneth Bohnsack, and one grandson, Nathan Glasgow.
