Marlys Lorfeld, age 85, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away October 17, 2020 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, in Savanna. Inurnment will be in Hillsdale, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to share in Marlys’s life at

Marlys was born September 9, 1935, in Hillsdale, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Olga (Malum) Keiser. She graduated from Barron High School in Barron, Wisconsin. On December 5, 1963, Marlys wed Harvey Lorfeld. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before Harvey’s passing. Marlys was a homemaker, who enjoyed going to the Rice Lake Music Club and playing bridge.
Marlys will be dearly missed by her son, David Lorfeld of Newport, Minnesota; two daughters, Rhonda (Jim Ross) Weiss of Savanna, Illinois and Lynne Braatz of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marlys is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Olga, and husband Harvey.
