Mark Eugene Ferris

Mark Eugene Ferris, of Milledgeville, Illinois, passed away October 13, 2026, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. A graveside service will be held 10:30, Friday, October 30, 2026 at Savanna Township Cemetery in Savanna, Illinois,.

Mark was born August 13, 1961, the son of Elmer and Joanne (Winkel) Ferris. He graduated from Savanna High School in 1979 and worked in information technology at Tee Lee Popcorn for 27 years.

Smart and naturally curious, Mark loved computers and technology. He was the family’s “Mr. Fix-It,” someone who enjoyed figuring things out and finding a solution. His quiet, pleasant nature and dry sense of humor made him a welcome presence. Mark lived quietly, but his place in the lives of those who knew and loved him was meaningful, and he will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Terry Dykema.
