Marjorie Eastman

Marjorie E. Eastman, age 83, of Elizabeth, Illinois died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Midwest Medical Center, Galena, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth, Illinois with Reverend Harvey Nicholson of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Elizabeth officiating. Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
Marjorie was born October 16, 1924 in Luverne, Iowa, the daughter of Edward R. and Sadie M. (Ristau) Wagner. Marjorie graduated from Luverne High School, Class of 1943. On June 28, 1945 she married William A. Eastman in Elizabeth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1992.
Marjorie worked at Hanover Woolen Mill, Hanover, Illinois, and Savanna Army Depot, Savanna, Illinois. She also worked at Illinois National Bank for twenty-five years retiring in 1972. Marjorie enjoyed sewing, painting, baking and cooking, designing and decorating, and writing Christmas letters and family history. Marjorie loved collecting angels. Most imporant to Marjorie was her husband, her family and friends.
Marjorie will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, LeRoy, Harlan, and Marlin, and four sisters, Dorothy Johns, LaVonne Wagner, Berniece Fischer, and Mardell Boyd.
