Marie A. Thomsen

Marie A. Thomsen, age 97, of Clinton, Iowa formerly of Teeds Grove, Iowa passed away, Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Alverno Nursing Home in Clinton. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, Iowa. Pastor Fred Schauer of Chancy Lutheran Church of Clinton, Iowa will officiate. Burial will be in the Miles City Cemetery, Miles, Iowa. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2006 prior to the Funeral Service at the church.
Marie was born November 9, 1908, the daughter of John and Wilhemina "Minnie" (Clausen) Frahm in Teeds Grove, Iowa. On March 11, 1936, Marie married Leroy Thomsen in Lyons, Iowa. Leroy died on May 28, 1995 in Clinton.

Marie enjoyed being a homemaker; she was the owner operator of The Country Store in Teeds Grove for fifteen years. Marie was a former member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Andover, Iowa.

Marie will be deeply missed by her sister, Gladys Krabbenhoft, two nephews, Clint Krabbenhoft and Eugene (JoAn) Thomsen; four nieces, Myrna (LeRoy) Moore, Arlene (Virgil) Eggers, Lois Thomsen; Betty (Harold) Coch.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy; her son, Roy Lee; and one brother, Marvin Frahm; two nieces, Velma Liddle and Gladys Collins.
