Marian A. Paisley, age 83, of Sabula, Iowa died Monday, August 21, 2006 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26th, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Sabula, Iowa with Reverend Karl Goodfellow of the United Methodist Church, Sabula, Iowa officiating. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery, Miles, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 25th, at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Sabula, Iowa. A general memorial fund has been established in Marian’s memory.
Marian was born July 31, 1923 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harvey and Odessa (Davis) Allen. Marian married Wyman D. Paisley on September 17, 1945 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Wyman died December 4, 1970 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Marian graduated from Miles High School. Marian was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, spending time at the Senior Citizens Center, in Sabula, Iowa, and playing Bingo.
Marian will be dearly missed by four sons, Jerry (Julie) Paisley of Clinton, Iowa, Richard (Angie) Paisley of Clinton, Clint (Bonnie) Paisley of Aurora, Nebraska and Charles (Judy) Paisley of Savanna, Illinois; three daughters, Roberta Diaz of Sterling, Illinois, Betty Droster of Lake Mills, Wisconsin and Beverly (Jerico) Haiar of Sabula, Iowa; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren;
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Wyman; one daughter Gayle Noltz; one son-in-law Salvador Diaz and four granddaughters.
