Marian C. Frank

Marian Christine (Christiansen) Frank; age 86, of Mount Carroll, Illinois, died Friday, August 19, 2005 at her home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mount Carroll. Pastor David Vidler will officiate. Interment will take place at the Upper York Cemetery in Argo Fay, Illinois. Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mount Carroll, IL. Memorials may be made to the Freeport Health Network (F.H.N.) Hospice, Freeport, IL.
Marian was born July 12, 1919 in Laverne, Minnesota, the daughter of Chris and Christine (Jensen) Christiansen. On June 28, 1940 Marian married Donald William Frank at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Donald died on June 24, 1996 in Freeport, Illinois.
Marian worked on a farm with her husband Donald in Mount Carroll her entire life. She also raised chickens on her farm and sold the eggs in town. She was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Argo Fay Ladies Aide and the Carroll County Home Extension. Marian enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sewing, painting and working outside in her yard.
Marian will be dearly missed by her two sisters, Agnes Hislope of Sutter, California and Olga Foulk of Souix Falls, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.
Marian is preceded in death by her husband Donald; two brothers, Harold “Doc” and Thor Christiansen and one sister, Esther Frank.
