Maria Lynn Lynch will be missed for her spunky personality, her ability to brighten any situation, her beautiful smile and mostly the sound of her infectious laughter. At the age of 56, Maria Lynch, of Lanark, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the loving care of her family, with the support of Serenity Hospice. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held 1 – 4 pm, Saturday, November 26, at Law Jones Eastland in Lanark, with a service at 4:00 p.m. Memorials will be donated to Serenity Hospice Care.
Maria was born February 19, 1966, in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Dolf and Emma (Wilbur) Amundson. She met the love of her life at her fifteenth birthday party, Raymond Dean Lynch III. They became friends, then dated, and on September 18, 1982 they married in Lena, IL. They have celebrated 40 years of marriage and raised two children, Amanda and Raymond Dean IV.
Maria enjoyed anything involving the outdoors and sunshine, including gardening, taking care of all her flowers and plants, feeding and watching the squirrels and birds, motorcycle rides, and Sunday rides in the old truck with Ray. She had a profound love for music, walks on Daytona Beach (especially at sunrise), and eating at Crabby Joe’s with the waves crashing under her feet. But most of all, she loved spending time with all her grandbabies, they were the sunshine of her life and brought her so much joy.
She worked for General Casualty Insurance in Freeport, and later at Fehr-Graham Engineering and Environmental for over 16 years. At Fehr-Graham she was a valuable part of the team, handling customers, phone calls, computer work and working closely with everyone to complete many projects.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Raymond Dean Lynch; her daughter, Amanda Johnson; her son Raymond Dean (Brittany) Lynch, IV; her three knights in shining armor, Hunter, Phoenix, and Mason; her little princess, Vivian; and her sister, Cheryl.
Maria was proceeded in death by her parents, Dolf and Emma Amundson; and her father and mother-in-law, Ray and Dianne Lynch.
