Margaret Rooker

Margaret Jean Rooker age 72, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2015 prior to the service at the funeral home.
Margaret was born January 6, 1943 the daughter of Mike and Nelle (Yestyemski) Holman in Chicago, Illinois. She attended East Leyden High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. On May 3, 1963, Margaret married the love of her life Al Rooker in North Lake, Illinois.
Margaret worked at A.M. Castle Steel in North Lake for a short while. When her children were born, Margaret became a homemaker. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy in life. She treasured the time she spent with her kids and grandkids cooking them large meals, especially her holiday meals.Margaret will be dearly missed by her husband, Al of Savanna; a son, Allen (Melinda) Rooker of New Lennox, Illinois; her daughter, Cindy (James) Cason of Geneva, Illinois and four grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents.
