Madelyn Fernanda Miles passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 93.
She was born in Chicago, IL, November 29, 1930 to Otto H. and Elizabeth Larsen. While growing up in Chicago, she attended North Park University. After graduating from North Park, she attended Beloit College from 1948-49. She was a member of the PI Phi Sorority. There she met her future husband, Owen P. Miles Jr. She transferred to Colorado University where Phil was completing his Bachelor's degree.
They were married in Chicago in 1951 and moved to Wyoming. After spending many years in Wyoming they relocated to Florida which became their permanent residence.
Madelyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Reigelsperger, Aimie Gonce, granddaughter, Annique Jordan, and great grandson, Jarred Jordan.
She is preceded in death by her husband Owen P Miles Jr. and her brother Willam R. Larsen.
A graveside service will be held in at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mt. Carroll.
Our Mother was extraordinary. She was the epitome of kindness and grace. Those that knew her, loved her. She will be dearly missed and we will love her forever.
