Lynn Ann Mantua, age 48 of Moline, Illinois, previously of Savanna, Illinois died Saturday October 13, 2012 at The University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago, after battling liver disease. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lynn’s memory.
Lynn was born July 10, 1964 in Belcourt, North Dakota. She was raised by Moses and Helga (Kapernick) Wallette in Savanna, Illinois. She attended Savanna schools and Highland College. Lynn was in a relationship with her fiancé, Bill Dunn of Moline, Illinois, for eleven years. Lynn had three children Angela, Mathew, and Amber, while married to Romano Mantua.
Lynn worked several years at Metform in Savanna and also for five years at John Deere in Moline. Lynn enjoyed gambling with her fiancé, Bill Dunn. She also enjoyed spending weekends with her family.
Lynn will be dearly missed by her children, Angela (Matt) Handel of Thomson, Illinois, Mathew Mantua of Moline, and Amber Mantua of Freeport, Illinois; two grandchildren, AnaLisa Handel and Aiden Foley; her fiancé, Bill Dunn; and her Brother-in-Law, Gino Mantua of Freeport. She is preceded in death by her birth parents,Clarence and Gertrude Wallette; and her adoptive parents, Moses and Helga Wallette; and Romano Mantua.
