Lydia was born July 9, 1959, in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Norman and Stella (Tipp) Hatfield. After attending Savanna schools, Lydia went to work in 1987, for Swiss Colony in Savanna. She worked her way up to a managerial role, and retired from the company after more than 30 years.
Lydia was an honest, non-judgmental, and caring person. She was the type of woman whom many leaned on for both advice, and compassion in trying times. She loved her family dearly; always so proud of her children, and she was never happier than when she was with her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, and with her two sons living out of the state and overseas, respectively, she had ample opportunities to combine that love for travel with her immense love of family.
Lydia will be dearly missed by her two sons, Jacob (Alexis) Robinson, of Savanna and Joseph (Brittany) Robinson, of Richmond, KY; daughter, Tiffany (Michael) Stretton of Fulton, IL; eight grandchildren, Jace, Haylie, Marly, Peighton, Mayson, Anniston, Maggie, and James; life partner, Ray Andrews; siblings, Michael (Mary) Hatfield, of Waterton, WI, Debbie Gilmore, of Savanna, IL, Nancy (Larry) Wagner, of Illinois City, IL, Susan (Rocky) Franzen, Zwingle, IA, Dale Kubin, Texas, and Sharon (Mike) Lahre, of Savanna, IL. Lydia is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Stella, and her sister, Belinda Atherton.
