Lucille Acree, age 90, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held prior to cremation. Burial of her cremated remains will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, Illinois.
Lucille was on born September 12, 1928, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Erma (Thomson) McClintock. She attended school in Arkansas. She married James L. Acree on November 18, 1949. He passed away on February 8, 2004.
Lucille was a homemaker, who cherished taking care of her family. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, where she was active as long as she was able. Most of all, Lucille loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lucille will be dearly missed by her son, Jim (Patty) Acree of Savanna, Illinois; two daughters, Barbara (Al) Ray of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Judy (Tony Congdon) Petty of Hanover, Illinois; and many special grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lucille will be preceded in death by her husband, James; daughter and son-in-law, Becky (Paul) Thorton; son-in-law, Bob Petty; one grandson, Brennan Piehn; eight brothers; and four sisters.
