Luanne Burke

Luanne Burke, age 63, of Mount Carroll, Illinois died Friday, September 28, 2012 at home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Saints John and Catherine Catholic Church, Mount Carroll. Cremation rites have been accorded. Luanne was born May 19, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Szymaniak) Roggatz. She attended the Chicago school system, graduating with the class of 1966. She married Timothy Burke on November 6, 1982, in Chicago.
Luanne took pride in being a homemaker; taking joy in everyday tasks because it meant she was taking care of those she loved. She enjoyed her duty as a Christian. She had a passion for being outdoors in nature and working in her garden; planting flowers and shrubs to attract butterflies and animals to her yard.
Luanne is survived by her husband , Timothy of Mt Carroll, four children ; Dan Burke of Mt. Carroll, Jocelyn (John) Douglas of Lexington Ky, Valerie Sorensen of Roselle Il and Martin Yurek of Chicago Il; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; A sister Pam (Nick) Naples and a brother Rick Roggatz.
Luanne is preceded in Death by her parents , Harold and Helen (Szymaniak) Roggatz.
