Lore M. Henricksen

Lore M. Henricksen, age 88, of Preston, Iowa, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa, Iowa. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Preston, with Father Paul Lippstock as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Preston. Lunch will be served at the church following burial. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Christian wake service at 7:00 PM on Fri. June 10, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Preston. Visitation will also be held at the Church from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the funeral mass.
Lore was born June 1, 1922, in Viernheim, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1954. Lore married Gilbert E. Henricksen on Feb. 18, 1954, in Preston Iowa. Lore was a homemaker who loved raising her family. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Preston and the Spragueville American Legion Auxiliary. Lore loved to bowl and flower gardening.
Lore is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Eduard (Diane) Henricksen of Ashland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Matthew (Lyndsey) Henricksen of Akron, Ohio, and Brian Henricksen of Barberton, Ohio ; and one great granddaughter, Ella Henricksen. Lore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert E. Henricksen; and one brother, Eric Schmitt.
