Lois C. Kroll, age 90, of Savanna, Illinois died on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Riverview Village Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, Illinois. Reverend Larry Thomson of the First United Methodist Church in Savanna will officiate. Interment will be in the Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A Memorial Fund has been established in her name.
Lois was born on March 27, 1917 the daughter of Oran and Elsie (Collier) Ritchie in Savanna, Illinois. She attended Savanna area schools and graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1935. Lois married Harold M. Kroll on December 31, 1938. Harold passed away in February of 1976.
Lois was a Homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She worked as an Operator for the local telephone company in Savanna. She was also employed by General Electric in Morrison, Illinois for ten years. Lois was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Savanna. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all Lois loved spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by her two children, Jack (Suzie) and Jill; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; and one sister Marcile Jones of Fulton, Illinois.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lyle, Wayne and Bob Ritchie.
