Lloyd Marburger

Lloyd W. Marburger, age 86, of Clinton, Iowa died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at home. A private family graveside service took place in Preston Cemetery, Preston, Iowa.
Lloyd was born May 5, 1929, the son of Harold and Elsie (Jones) Marburger in Sabula, Iowa. He attended Sabula Country Schools. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 1951 to April 1953. Lloyd married Berneice Smith on May 28, 1955. They celebrated 60 years together.
Lloyd worked at ADM and Clinton Foods as a machine operator for over 27 years. He also worked at the Law Center for 10 years.
Lloyd loved spending time outside fishing, hunting, trapping, cutting grass and took pride in putting in a hard day’s work.
Lloyd will be dearly missed by his wife, Berneice; two sons, Keith Marburger of Clinton, Iowa and Dale Marburger of Loveland, Colorado; one brother, Alvin (Maxine) Marburger of Sabula, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Elsie, and a daughter-in-law, Peg.
