Lloyd W. Law, age 78, of Savanna, Illinois, died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17 at the First United Methodist Church, Savanna. Reverend Thomas Moe will officiate. Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Memorials may be given in Lloyd’s name to the Savanna Ambulance Association.
Lloyd was born September 9, 1927 in Savanna, the son of Lloyd and Louise (Getz) Law, Sr. He graduated from the Savanna High School with the Class of 1945. Lloyd married Margaret Mennsinger October 14, 1949. She died March 1, 1979.
Lloyd farmed all his life near Savanna and died doing what he loved. He also enjoyed dancing. Lloyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Savanna.
Lloyd will be dearly missed by his three brothers, Merle (Florence) Law of Savanna, Donald (Eva) Law of Mt. Carroll and Vernon (Thelma) Law of Savanna; five nieces, six nephews, several great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Marilyn Williams of Maquoketa, Iowa. Also two Aunts, Neva Jones and Mildred Koser, and an Uncle, Jacob Glenn Getz, all of Savanna.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.
