Lisa Lynn Law, was born on September 12, 1980, in Freeport, Illinois, and passed away on April 11, 2026, held in the love of her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Lisa’s kindness, strength, and adventurous spirit touched every life she encountered.
Lisa was the youngest daughter of Roger and Janelle Haas of Elizabeth, Illinois. She graduated from Mount Carroll High School in 1998. That same year, she proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving her country with honor and achieving the rank of Specialist (SPC). After her service, Lisa pursued a cosmetology degree to support herself as she worked toward her dreams. With that same dedication, she studied at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, earning her bachelor’s degree with a specialization in radiation therapy. She devoted her career to caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment, offering not only exceptional skill, but also compassion, comfort, and genuine connection during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Lisa met her husband Reid Law, who matched her passion for the outdoors and adventure, and they later married on May 24, 2008. Her greatest blessings were her three children Garrett, Ell, and Ari, who were the center of her heart and meant the world to her, each in their own special way.
Lisa lived life with an open heart and an adventurous soul. She found peace and joy outdoors, on the water, in the snow, or anywhere she could soak in the beauty of the world around her. She embraced every moment, made memories wherever she went, and inspired others to do the same.
Lisa will be deeply missed by her husband, Reid; their children, Garrett, Ell, and Ari; her parents, Roger and Janelle Haas; her siblings, Sheila Haas, Jennifer Guerin, Barbie Doty (Andrew), Jeremy Haas (Brittany), and James Haas (Jennifer); her grandmother, Helen Steen; her father‑in‑law, Bob Law; her in‑laws, Randy Law (Cherie) and Ronee Law (Tony); along with countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Lillian Haas, Kenneth Steen, her mother‑in‑law, Ginger Law, and several beloved relatives who welcomed her home.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of God in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday, April 25, 2026, starting at 10am prior to the funeral service at 12pm. Luncheon to follow.
Lisa’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
