Linda Randecker

Linda Ruth Randecker, age 74, of Savanna, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Elizabeth Assisted Living Center, Elizabeth, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Massbach, Illinois. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Massbach.
Linda was born on November 3, 1940, the daughter of William and Meta (Jessen) Walbom in Clinton, Iowa. She attended Miles High School, and graduated with the Class of 1958. She married Robert Randecker on May 22, 1959 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston, Iowa. Robert died on September 11, 2011.
Linda farmed many years with her husband in the Massbach area. She also worked for the Savanna C. U. District #300 for 12 years, in the lunch room and as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, two card clubs, and her church’s Friendship Circle. Linda loved to travel around the country. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, cross-stitching, baking, but mostly, spending time with her family.
Linda is survived by her son, Rodney (Candy) Randecker of Stockton, Illinois; one daughter, Brenda Randecker of East Moline, Illinois; two grandchildren, Amanda (Jake) Perry and Ashley (Tyler Millerschone) Randecker; and three great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Brooklynn, and Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her parents, William and Meta.
