Linda Arlene Habben, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2021. Linda was born in Sterling, Illinois on March 14, 1948 to Alfred and Marie (Meiners) Habben. Linda was employed at Wahl Clipper for 42 years, retiring in 2007 at the young age of 57.
Linda was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and she loved to share what she grew with family and friends. If you were lucky enough to receive and enjoy Linda’s baked goods, you understood the joy she had for baking, cooking, and sharing with everyone. You could always count on driving by Linda’s house to see her sitting at the table looking out the picture window, enjoying her coffee. She enjoyed having visitors and socializing. Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart, and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her son, Tyler (Aimee) Todd of Chadwick, sister Janet Koett of Milledgeville, and three grandchildren, Nataleigh, Blake, and Tyson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Marie, brothers Lyle and Arnold Habben.
A memorial has been established in her name. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 30th from 4pm to 7pm at West Jordan Lutheran Church. Funeral will be held on Friday, October 1st at 11am at West Jordan Lutheran Church, Sterling IL. Burial will occur at Oak Knoll Cemetery, in Sterling, IL.
