Lavonne J. Peters (Aadson), age 90, of Hanover, Illinois passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at Big Meadows, in Savanna, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hanover. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover. A memorial fund has been established in Lavonne’s memory.
Lavonne was born May 11, 1928, in Bradley, South Dakota, the daughter of Selah and Blanche (Neal) Fryett. Lavonne married Eldon Aadson on November 10, 1946. They later divorced, and Lavonne married Henry Peters on April 16, 1979. Henry passed away in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Lavonne worked at Black Hills Army Depot doing secretary and line work. She was a secretary for Veteran’s Administrations in Hot Springs, South Dakota. She later became a homemaker. She was a member of the Hanover VFW Auxiliary and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hanover. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, and making crafts.
Lavonne will be dearly missed by her son Douglas (Tanya) Aadson of Bradenton, Florida; two daughters, Debra (Lyle) Zigler of Hanover, Illinois and Beverly (John) Sweeney of Sarasota, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard (Joyce) Fryett of Spokane, Washington and Roger (Dorothy) Fryett of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister Phyllis Yardley of Pharr, Texas. Lavonne is preceded in death by her parents Selah and Blanche, husbands, Eldon and Henry, daughter Kathleen Krantz, an infant daughter Mary Jo Aadson, a brother in-law, Roger Yardley.
