Lauren L. Bakken

Lauren L. Bakken, born February 3, 1947, in Madison, Wisconsin, was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Marjorie Hines Bakken. She lived at the Gordon Jones Terrace in Lanark, Illinois, before moving to a group home in Sandwich, Illinois.

Lauren was a dedicated worker at Rolling Hills Progress Center in Lanark and a proud participant in the Special Olympics. She passed away on Saturday, January 25, at the Open Door Rehab Center in Sandwich, Illinois. She is survived by her siblings, Bruce Bakken and Dawn Sullinger. Lauren is preceded in death by both parents and two siblings, Bonnie Schumate and Richard Miller.

A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Law Jones Eastland in Lanark, Illinois. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery.
