Laura Hartman, age 77, of Chadwick, IL, passed away, Friday, November 26, 2021 at her home with her husband by her side. A private funeral service will be held in her honor and burial will take place at Chadwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Rock River Hospice and Home.
Laura was born October 5, 1944, in Winner, SD, the daughter of Howard and Laura (Wheeler) Henneman. She attended Gregory High School, in Gregory, SD. Laura made a career of selling products for Avon. On June 15, 1974, Laura married Victor Hartman.
Laura was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved fishing and camping, and was proud of her garden. She’d grow vegetables and flowers, and was especially fond of her roses. Seeing birds and bunnies swoop and hop through her yard and garden always brought a smile to Laura’s face. She was an artist at heart, crafting, sewing, and creating clothing art, as well as playing the piano and saxophone. But most of all, Laura adored her family, especially her beloved grandkids!
Laura will be dearly missed by her husband, Victor; three sons, William Woehl, of Chamberlain, SD, Reese Hartman, of Milledgeville, IL, Michael (Veronica) Hartman, of Auburn, IL; two daughters, Colleen Woehl, of Chadwick, IL and Theresa (Tom) Fink, of Chadwick, IL; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard (Barb) Henneman, of Houston, TX and David (Kristy) Henneman, of Casper, WY; two sisters, Connie (Dick) Hespe, of Ivanhoe, TX and Carol (James) Ledford, of Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Linda (Donald) Kness, of Morrison, IL.
