Anna LaDelle McGrath, age 94, of Houston, Texas formerly of Savanna, Illinois died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Texas Specialty Hospital, Houston, Texas. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 6, 2007, at Savanna Township Cemetery, Savanna with Father Robert North officiating.
LaDelle was born September 20, 1912, in Savanna, Illinois, she was the daughter of Hans and Esther (Pedersen) Johnson. She graduated from Savanna High School the class of 1930. In 1934 LaDelle married Wilbur Doty McGrath in Savanna, Illinois.
LaDelle worked for the Savanna Garment Factory as a Floor Supervisor for twenty-five years and she also worked for Eaton Corporation until retirement in 1979. LaDelle was a very devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Savanna, Illinois. LaDelle enjoyed spending time in her garden. Later in life she moved to Houston, Texas to be closer to her daughter. She became a member of the Church of the Epiphany, Houston, Texas.
LaDelle is survived by one daughter, Marne Modine of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren Natalie (Michael) Stovall of Houston, Texas, Erik Modine of Houston, Texas, John (Jocelyne) Modine of Washington D.C. and Paul (Dina) Modine of Charlotte, North Carolina and two great grandchildren Alan and Kelli Modine. LaDelle is preceded in death by her parents.
